To provide our customers strong strategic insights and suggestions, we blend traditional management consulting with our substantial data assets and internal technologies. Mastercard Data & Services, a payments industry specialist, collaborates closely with significant retailers, airlines, and other businesses. We are seeking motivated and gifted individuals who share our vision for data-driven consulting to join us and play a key role in directing our team's expansion.

The Role You will play

  • As a Principal, you will serve as a trusted business adviser to clients and manage client engagements in a variety of sectors and project types, such as consulting, test-and-learn, or data and analytics. You will guide engagement teams to provide project deliverables and best-in-class insights. As the team's leader, you will give subject matter or industry experience, act as a resource for others to find innovative and effective ideas, and direct the team toward suggestions and solutions that are business-focused and increase customer value. Owning mid- to senior-level client relationships and actively participating in the client agenda, corporate culture, and related risks are responsibilities in project management.
  • Outside of direct engagement teams, you will coach and mentor young team members in order to foster successful participation in Mastercard's knowledge management and best practices. You are expected to play a key part in determining the direction of Mastercard as well as making a significant effect on how our clients are transformed.

What Qualifies You for this Job

  • After earning your undergraduate degree, you must have a master's degree or at least two years of tenured employment experience.
  • Experience working as a consultant at a consulting firm Experience leading a team of people on various projects
  • Knowledge of people management
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative issue-solving abilities and the capacity to organize studies into data-driven solutions for complex customer situations.
  • Preferable exposure to retail banking, merchants, or payments explicitly
  • Ability to effectively express complex concepts in English and the local office language(s), both vocally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain connections with mid-level and executive-level client contacts, as well as to inspire trust in Mastercard as a sought-after partner
  • Ability to multitask in a time-constrained, deadline-driven workplace, balance thinking and action, and maximize available resources
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary, with SQL and data knowledge desired.
  • Candidates must be qualified to work in the nation for which they are seeking, as well as qualified to apply for any necessary travel permits.
