A Support Worker is needed to work for our Rushmere, Ipswich-based service. both full-time and part-time employees. Morning, afternoon, evening, sleep-in, weekend, and holiday shifts will all be available. For any sleep-in shifts worked, you will get an improved flat rate payment of £61.20. Sleep-in pay is not governed by a contract.

The number of shifts offered will span the hours and various shift schedules from 7:00/7:30 to 9.30/10:30. Shifts often go from 7/7:30 to 14:30 or 14:30 to 21:30. A maximum of one split shift per week can be required. Additionally, extremely seldom sleep-ins from 22:30 to 7:00 a.m. as necessary. Please indicate on your application if you are unable to work a sleep-in shift; rest assured that your application will still be taken into consideration. The number of hours given might be varied, and we'll take applications from any qualified individuals. A driver is preferred. The folks we serve have automobiles, so you don't need to use your own vehicle.

Regarding Our Service

Our service, a 24-hour supported living facility just five minutes from Ipswich Hospital, is available. There are 2 men and 4 women that reside there. We like going to the store, going for walks, swimming, bowling, going to social gatherings and events, going to farms to see friends and relatives, going out to eat at restaurants, watching movies at home, and playing a variety of games. From simple conversation and wellness checks to assisting with personal care, shopping, housecleaning, cooking, budgeting, and prescription administration, we require support with everyday life activities. There will be thorough training and shadow shifts available.

You will be required to deliver an exceptional level of support as a support worker in order to guarantee that the individuals we support lead more comfortable, honorable, free, and joyful lives. You will be a naturally compassionate and patient person with good communication abilities.
  • Helping individuals live independently by managing their finances, paying their bills, doing their chores, scheduling their appointments, and preparing scrumptious nutritious meals.
  • Relationship development involves encouraging healthy connections and helping the individuals we serve comprehend the world around them.
  • Community and Social Inclusion: Supporting people's participation in and access to local social and community events to foster their individuality and life skills.
  • Helping folks get ready for the day is known as personal care. This can entail encouraging the individuals we support to take their medications and providing assistance with bathing, taking a shower, and using the restroom. High degrees of personal care is not required in every support worker function.
