The Partnership and Initiatives portfolio has an emphasis on digital inclusion and skills for both residents and public officials. We use the TBI Digital Academy as proof of concept for our larger objectives. With the goal of developing this project and platform, we are actively engaging with partners to upskill public workers in tech literacy in pilot regions and content verticals. With technology acting as an enabler across all three, TBI wants to be the "go-to" organization for progressive leaders and governments for whom we provide Policy, Strategy, and Delivery. To fulfill TBI's objective, the Head of Partnerships, Digital Skills, and Inclusion job will develop and deliver a key service. The position will be in charge of developing our digital inclusion and skills project around the globe and opening up the partnership platform to capacity building for both people and public officials.

Accelerating impact in the area through our iconic collaboration platform, The Tomorrow collaboration is the top focus for the Partnerships and Initiatives team, where this position will be located. Through The Tomorrow Partnership, we work with leaders, nations, and communities to harness the potential of technology for good. We do this in partnership with governments, tech firms, experts, and innovators. The candidate for the position of Head of Partnerships, Digital Skills, and Inclusion will have specialized skills, networks, and interests in the following fields: capacity building, education/skills development, technology and innovation, digitization, public policy, and government delivery. The position holder should be a natural connector and networker who can ingeniously uncover synergies and avenues for promoting our goal for digital inclusion and skills. The ability to engage collaboratively and effectively with coworkers across organizational hierarchies will be essential for the Head of Partnerships, Digital Skills, and Inclusion.
The three main business divisions at TBI are Global Government Advisory, Policy and Politics, and Strategy and Partnerships. This position is located in TBI's Strategy and Partnerships Department under Partnerships and Initiatives and reports to the Director, of Global Tech Partnerships. With a focus on future-proofing growth, creating scalable partnerships, advancing technology, and securing funding to measurably advance the Institute's operational goals and generate sustainable impact, the Strategy and Partnerships department guides and manages the Institute's strategic direction and growth. The incumbent of the position can anticipate working closely with senior colleagues from throughout the Institute.

Important Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Director and reporting to them, Global Tech Partnerships' duties will include but not be limited to
  • Create a worldwide plan to transform TBI's Digital Academy into a focused portfolio of partnerships for inclusion and digital skills that satisfies the goals of TBI and the demands of government clients. The approach should focus on a combination of large technological businesses and globally active, like-minded organizations, and create an ecosystem of different regional delivery and/or content partners.
  • Expand our network and relationships with international organizations, training and content providers, technology companies, implementation partners, and thought leaders in accordance with your suggested strategy to better understand the demands and potential of digital inclusion and skills in TBI priority regions. Then, you will maintain the stakeholder relationship by making the most pertinent of these ties into TBI partners.
  • Establish and fulfill yearly OKRs for partnerships in digital skills that are consistent with and add to departmental OKRs.
  • Oversee TBI Digital Academy in test regions.
  • As part of our larger ambition for digital skills and inclusion, clarify and create a new approach.
  • Prioritize your geographic and content vertical expansion efforts and enlist partners as necessary.
  • assemble matrixed TBI resources to create a delivery team.
  • Determine the Academy's impact measures for TBI, client governments, and partners.
  • Help our communications team increase the Academy's external effect.
  • To solve implementation problems and guide teams toward solutions that will have a bigger effect, work closely with TBI teams and partners.
  • Develop a plan, spot possibilities, and broaden the partnership platform to advance citizen digital literacy; the job holder will decide how to prioritize various aspects of skill-building (such as utilizing government services versus digital literacy, etc.).
  • Whenever required, closely collaborate with our Global Innovation Unit and Global Client Solutions teams to perform tech due diligence on partners.
  • Introduce and promote the development of internal resources that are/would be essential to achieving the larger goal for inclusion and digital skills.
  • Work closely with GCS to make that TBI's assistance for government digital capabilities is incorporated into the Institute's larger vision for digital and technological transformation.
  • To evaluate if they could assist the Digital Skills and Inclusion platform, look for synergies between current relationships controlled by either team.
  • Working closely with the country advisory teams will help you to comprehend the requirements, potential impacts, and delivery strategies. This will include contact and frequent travel.
  • Connect them to the larger Strategy and Partnerships Division and serve as a matchmaker between their requirements and our partners and portfolio offerings.
  • To guarantee effective implementation, identify best practices with the assistance of the national heads of technology and other important team members.
  • Create a sustainable revenue model with the assistance of our Business Development and Income team for our portfolio of Digital Skills and Inclusion.
  • Determine prospects for and crossovers between our Digital Skills and Inclusion offer and our other illustrious and important relationships.
  • Organize impact reporting for the portfolio of digital skills and inclusion and oversee key performance metrics.
  • Replicate TBI at outside events.
  • Become a powerful advocate for TBI's principles and culture.

Personal Information

An extraordinary individual who is seeking to broaden their knowledge across an expanding portfolio is needed for this senior leadership position:
  • Keen interest in TBI's work and a commitment to our principles.
  • Extensive expertise in leading partnerships, managing high-level relationships, and negotiating contracts with significant IT organizations
  • Experience in government delivery and a grasp of public policy are needed, as well as a solid network of actors in technology and digitalization.
